When assessing your appliance and repair need, we often have options in terms of the types of parts we use to repair the appliance.

In most cases, we use original OEM parts supplied by the manufacturer. However, we may often provide an aftermarket part – a part that is made to OEM specifications but not manufactured by the OEM itself – as an option. Aftermarket parts are often less expensive while providing comparable reliability of OEM.

We provide both OEM and aftermarket options when necessary and allow you the option to choose.

Contrary to popular belief, modern appliances are generally reliable- more so than they used to be. However, it is true that appliance complexity has increased, meaning that it takes a trained eye to properly diagnose them when they fail.

With large moving parts and motors that are constantly activating, it’s not uncommon for aging washer/dryers to have motors that fail and render the unit useless. However, a motor repair is an affordable and straightforward repair- certainly less than replacing the entire appliance.

However, if we feel that your washer/dryer isn’t worth repairing, we will let you know. There comes a time when continued repairs are just no longer financially feasible.
